The 5pm blog was lucky enough to visit Bill's Glasgow recently for lunch to try their new set menu. Although it's a set menu, there was plenty of choice with four options per course.
Bill's is on Glasgow's West Nile Street and its warm atmosphere, cool, artfully rustic decor and British and global dishes has made it a hit with restaurant goers, as 5pm diner Tracy says in a review: "First time eating and would definitely recommend it! Food was fantastic and service was great".
On brand starters
True to their brand, the starters we picked highlighted their love of British favourites and influences from around the globe.
Delicious mains
The mains on the set menu had something for veggies, meat lovers and fish fans.
A crispy cod burger with apple slaw, onion marmalade and fries was a tasty alternative to fish and chips.
The vegetarian main we went for was the creamy pesto gnocchi with white wine, shallots, smoky tomatoes and Gran Moravia cheese.
Room for dessert?
If you can fit in dessert after two mammoth courses, Bill's Glasgow has a top selection for that final indulgence. Here were our choices.
And keeping with the USA theme, buttermilk Pancakes with vanilla ice cream, salted caramel sauce, Bill’s pancake syrup and cinnamon sugar.
Drinks selection
Not to forget the drinks we had, Bill's produces its own branded pink lemonade.
