Having run gin events all over the UK, the Gin Lounge makes its inaugural visit to Edinburgh's Assembly Rooms this weekend.
Running on Saturday 1st December from noon to 4pm, the event is run by a happy band of gin enthusiasts who love everything about the juniper-flavoured spirit.
The £45 ticket price includes all gin samples, mixers by Fentimans and expert master classes plus:
A festival guide
A commemorative Glencairn Crystal gin and tonic glass
A huge selection of gins for you to sample
Meet the Maker and get up close with some of the best gin distillers
Mixers by Fentimans, the UK’s only family-owned botanically brewed mixer company
As well as a huge variety of gins to sample, guests can expand their gin knowledge with create-your-own-gin workshops; gin master classes by industry experts; cocktail workshops; a cocktail bar and blind tasting experiences.
Each master class lasts around thirty minutes.
In particular, we are looking forward to Arbikie Gin's master class which promises to take gin-lovers right the way through the gin-making process from field to bottle.
Naturally, you will be able to buy bottles of your favourite gins from the on-site gin shop and there will be stalls selling both artisan crafts and the all important food.
Loadsa gin brands
Gin brands taking part in the festival include: Islay Gin, Edinburgh Gin, No. 3, Cotswold Gin, Lakes Gin, Bathtub, Kokoro, IWSC and Boutiquey Gin to name but a few.
Throughout the event, Fentimans will provide a range of specially crafted mixers including the popular Pink Grapefruit Tonic Water, Valencian Orange Tonic Water and Rose Lemonade.
