Elliots closed its doors for the last time on Sunday 27 January 2019. It will re-emerge at Easter with a new look and new name: Vic’s & The Vine.

Vic’s & The Vine will be a venue of two halves. The restaurant will be called The Vine and have 150 covers serving food from breakfast to late every day. The bar will be called Vic’s and will be a modern take on a traditional bar.

As well as live sport and entertainment seven days a week, Vic's will be open to 2.30am on weekends.

International designer Jim Hamilton will once again lead this project with Buzzworks.

A churrasco BBQ pit will be at the centre of the food offer and the kitchen team are hard at work creating fresh new menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner and more.

The restaurant area will also have a dedicated private dining room for up to 24 guests.

  Relaxed family-friendly atmosphere

The Vine restaurant will have a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere while Vic’s will offer a packed schedule of live music, seasonal events and live sports screenings in 4K. The glass roof in part of the bar looks set to be a talking point.

Afternoon visitors to The Vine can also enjoy a leisurely coffee and freshly baked cake from the neighbouring Bakehouse.

If no-one else pips them to the post, Vic’s will become the first venue in Ayrshire to serve fresh, unpasteurised tank beer straight from the brewery.

Elliots was always popular for its nightlife and that will continue as late-night DJ’s fill the dancefloor each weekend as part of the entertainment programme at Vic’s.

Kenny Blair (main pic), Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: 'It’s essential to evolve within the hospitality industry and look at innovative ways to create new and exciting concepts for our customers. It’s an exciting time for the company as this major refurbishment gets underway.

'In recent years we have launched venues outside of Ayrshire, namely The Coach House in Bridge of Weir and Scotts South Queensferry – but we’ve never lost sight of our roots by strategically investing in our existing venues. Our work to reincarnate Elliots is part of our wider growth strategy, both benefiting the local community and Scotland’s hospitality industry.'

Appetite for cool and modern pubs

Kenny added: 'We’ve seen an appetite in the industry for more cool and modern pubs and, similarly to our T-Bar in Ayr, Vic’s will be a traditional bar with a twist. This will both suit the local market and sit alongside our excellent new restaurant offering in Prestwick. Our vision is to create the best day to night venue in Scotland and we are confident Vic’s & The Vine will match those expectations.'

Work has started on Elliots with Vic’s & The Vine due for completion Easter 2019.

Buzzworks Holdings is one of Scotland’s fastest growing independent restaurant and bar operators, managing eleven venues across Ayrshire and beyond.
