Much like people, gin festivals come in all sorts of shapes and sizes but they do tend to fit a certain mould.

Taking place for the first time in Scotland, The Gin To My Tonic Show claims to be different. Held at Glasgow's SEC on Friday 15th-Sunday 17th March, the show's organisers reckon that it is 'is not your typical gin event'.

That's an ambitious statement. What they mean is that 'As well as a chance to sample and buy a diverse range of artisan and craft gins, you will walk away feeling satisfied that this was more than just an exhibition'.

Aiming to leave you feeling 'inspired as well as entertained', The Gin To My Tonic Show promises 'well stocked-gin and cocktail bars, cocktail making master classes, blind taste challenges, presentations from distilleries, tonic and garnish tutorials, and theatrical bartender performances'.

Unlimited tastings

The show will host over 60 premium gin and tonics brands from across the UK and beyond. In addition to unlimited tastings, guests will be able to meet the makers and discover even more about their favourite juniper-based tipple.

There are four different sessions over the weekend with Enthusiast and Connoisseur level tickets priced at £20 and £35 respectively.

At the time of writing, some sessions were listed as sold out so get a nash on if you are keen to attend.
