Fingers crossed we get another summer like the one we had
last year. And if the sun is shining, we can think of no better place to spend
a weekend than Foodies Festival in Edinburgh.
With eight festivals taking place across the UK during the summer, Foodies Festival is the country's biggest celebration of food and drink.
Returning to Inverleith Park, the Edinburgh event takes place on Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of August.
As always, there will be high demand for seats in the Chef's Theatre where local food heroes and MasterChef names will be demonstrating their pan-rattling skills.
And if you have been inspired to tie on your apron and sharpen the Sabatier then the artisan producers' market will supply you with all the ingredients needed to create a culinary masterpiece.
Live music
For those of us who prefer just to kickback with a glass of something cool and alcoholic, Foodies offers lots of opportunities to chill.
As well as great live music from The Hoosiers, guests can look forward to plenty of street food; restaurant tents from some of Edinburgh's best chefs and, of course, bars brimming with some of the most exciting drinks that Scotland has to offer.
Kids under twelve can visit for free when accompanied by an adult and the Kids' Cookery Theatre and kids' zone will entertain them.
There also appears to be something called a slime challenge for the nippers. It sounds positively revolting but hey! What do I know?
New for 2019 is a dog arena. Furry friends are, of course, welcome.

We have a Big Deal on Foodies Festival tickets.
The offer is available in four versions:
Option one is for one person to have a standard day pass and show guide for Friday 2nd August.
Option two is for one person to have a standard day pass and show guide for either Saturday 3rd or Sunday 4th August.
Option three is for two people to have a standard day pass for either date with show guide each.
Option four is for one person to have a VIP entry day pass for either date.
