Glasgow's Benihana doesn't do anything by halves. Not its sake, which is served in an ice bucket of mini goblets in juicy flavours like passion fruit and lychee. Not its cocktails, which come with elaborate adornments like patterned fans and Japanese lanterns. And certainly not its service: guests sit facing the chef who juggles, chops and occasionally sets fire to the food, making the Benihana experience as much about entertainment as dining.

The food is excellent too. Guests can choose from a huge selection of meat and seafood cooked on the teppanyaki iron griddle along with traditional Japanese dishes like gyozas, nigiri and miso soup. Vegetarians and vegans are well catered for too with the array of fresh vegetable and tofu which can also be cooked on the grill. And just wait until you see the desserts...

Here's the photographs from our dining experience in Benihana Glasgow.

Yummy sake served in dinky goblets in fruity flavours. Our personal favourite was the passionfruit.

Very Instagrammable cocktails. They tasted just as good as they looked.

Our super chef Katie who was a dab hand at juggling the utensils.

Delicious mushroom gyozas.

Fresh salad to accompany the main dishes.

Crispy vegetarian spring rolls.

Benihana is a fun dining experience, perfect for special occasions.

One thing's for sure, at Benihana you will not go hungry.

A delicious, sweet vegetarian dish: aubergine marinated in den miso and served with caramel walnuts.

Mouthwatering chocolate pyramid dessert.

Deep fried and battered ice cream? Yes, please. Glaswegians will be very pleased to see ice cream tempura on the menu at Benihana.
