It is week two of 5pm’s Big Summer Dine Out and those tasty offers keep on coming.

In case you need a quick recap, 5pm's Big Summer Dine Out offers two or three course meals at many of Glasgow and Edinburgh's most exciting restaurants for £15.95.

More offers are added all the time and they run until 15th August so grab 'em while you can.

Last week, we suggested a few places you might like to try in Glasgow. This week, we will point out a selection of restaurants in Edinburgh that are offering great Big Summer Dine Out deals.

Of course, you can check out all the participating restaurants from 5pm’s Big Summer Dine Out page.

Ciao Roma

This family-run Italian has won many fans over the years. Not least the guests who visited in July and left a 5pm review saying that they had a 'lovely meal on the 5pm deal' and that the 'atmosphere was relaxing and food delicious'.

We could not agree more. Ciao Roma is offering two courses plus a tea or coffee for £15.95 per person. The offer is for the pre-theatre menu so we would start with a summer Caprese salad featuring vine tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. Menus do change but sample main courses might include the Cardinale pizza with tomato, mozzarella cheese, ham and mushrooms or the Sicilian pasta with aubergines, roast peppers, basil, chilli and cherry tomato. One of their pizza is pictured above.

In Dalry, First Coast is another long-running restaurant that has attracted loyal diners from the immediate neighbourhood and beyond. Their offer is for two courses plus tea or coffee from the early evening menu. Typical starters might be the ham hough fritters with salsa verde or the Korean rice cakes. Main courses might be a refreshing Thai-marinated chicken salad or a  more hearty spiced pork belly with creamy mash, bok choi and ginger gravy. First Coast is highly rated by 5pm diners including this recent guest who said, 'We have been a number of times and the food and service has been fantastic. The menu always has something new as well as old favourites but the quality remains as good as ever'.

The Cellar Door

It is worth seeking out this unobtrusive, George IV Bridge restaurant for what a recent guest described as delicious food and exceptional service. The offer is for two courses plus tea or coffee on the lunch menu. Typical starters might be the veggie or haggis bon bons, the Shetland mussels or the soup of the day with crusty bread. The main course choices often include classics such as beer-battered haddock and chips, an Angus beef burger and a fresh pea and courgette risotto that comes with pickled cucumber, a mint salsa and pea shoots. How summery is that?

Le Monde

Le Monde is always dressed to impress.

Your £15.95 will buy you a sparkling afternoon tea with a glass of Prosecco. Specific menu items do change but, as well as a fantastic spread of sandwiches, Le Monde's afternoon tea includes fruit and plain scones plus a cake selection featuring delicacies such as red fruit muffins, opera slices and pistachio macaroons.
