From July, Edinburgh’s Hawke and Hunter venue, which includes Restaurant Mark Greenaway, is to change its name to No 12 Picardy Place.

The change of name is for two reasons. First up, the new address style name will pull the venue into line with the names of the other bars in the group which include 99 Hanover Street, Edinburgh and 99 Bar and Kitchen, Aberdeen.

Secondly, the owners hope that the fresh name will draw attention to the venue’s new look following a recent refurb.

The venue have also announced that No 12 Picardy Place is to be the driving force behind the VIP tent and the main bar at this year’s Taste of Edinburgh event which takes place over the weekend 1-3 July.

Restaurant Mark Greenaway will be one of the fifteen restaurants preparing signature dishes at this year’s Taste festival.

The other 5pm members appearing include Glasgow’s Cail Bruich and the Two Fat Ladies team as well as Edinburgh’s Cucina at Hotel Missoni and First Coast.

A new addition is Glasgow’s Kama Sutra.
