Have a drink on me

AC/DC: The Wine, a cheeky little number

As a teenage boy growing up in Dundee in the Eighties, this blogger reckoned that Australian rock band AC/DC were the height of adult savoir faire.

After all, what could possibly be more informative for a young adolescent boy eager to learn about the ways of the world than such sensitive songs as Let Me Put My Love Into You; You Shook Me All Night Long and, of course, the classic ballad Crabsody In Blue?

Three songs that set back my love life by about a decade.

Anyway, it seems that the band have finally turned their back on such coarseness and revealed a more sophisticated side as they launch a range of AC/DC themed wine.

Working in conjunction with the Warburn Estate winery, they are poised to start selling four wines named after some of their most famous songs.

They are the Highway to Hell cabernet sauvignon, Back in Black shiraz, Hells Bells sauvignon blanc, and the You Shook Me All Night Long moscato.

Of course, fans are already asking when Whole Lotta Rosé will be added to the range.

Incidentally, a massive AC/DC exhibition touches down in Kelvingrove from September 17th.
