Tonight is steak night at Abode

A great, juicy steak never goes out of fashion but right now big ol’ slabs of prime beef are riding high in the popularity polls with new steak houses and grill menus popping up all over the place.

Every Tuesday night (that’s this evening for anyone still a little disoriented after the weekend), Abode Bar Mc and Grill on Glasgow’s Bath Street hosts a steak night.

An 8oz steak with all the trimmings and a 125ml glass of wine is £18.95 plus booking. They run three seatings at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. You can book here.

Another imminent event is the monthly Cameron’s Cooking Experience at the Hilton Glasgow.

On the first Saturday of each month, the Hilton’s top chefs give a cookery demo before feeding their guests with a two course lunch.

The day starts at 12.30pm with champagne and canapes followed by the cookery demo. At 2pm, it’s lunchtime in Cameron’s Restaurant and then the experience ends at 3pm with a Q+A session plus a prize draw.

Tickets cost £45 per person (plus booking) although they are currently running a special 5pm offer where you can get three tickets for the price of two. The next demo takes place this Saturday.

You can book here.
