Corinthian Club best in Britain?

[][1]
Corinthian Club: well plush

The Corinthian Club in Glasgow has been nominated for Best British Interior Design in Elle Decoration’s British Design Awards, the only venue outside of London to make it to the shortlist of four.

It’s a great feather in the cap for the G1 Group who spent millions of pounds renovating the building before re-opening it to much applause in August 2010. We wrote about it here.

The nomination is all the sweeter for Glasgow as the interior design was led by the city’s Graven Images company.

Award judges describe the 24 hour venue – which boasts numerous bars, restaurants and a casino – as ‘Without doubt, the city’s most dazzling spot for a stylish night out.’

Corinthian is up against Massimo Restaurant, the Oxford Circus Topman personal shopping suite and the Sergio Rossi Store

The competition comes down to a public vote and you can cast yours here: www.thebritishdesignawards.com

The winner will be announced on November 2.

If you haven’t been in yet then it’s well worth a neb. You can check out their 5pm deals here.
