Lisa Tracey toasts Corinthian's World Class Bar

The Boutique Bar at The Corinthian Club is putting on the Ritz during December as it plays host to Diageo’s World Class Collection, a selection of the world’s finest spirits.

In the past, shop windows at Selfridges were dressed by the drinks brand for London Cocktail Week but World Class at Corinthian is a unique event and this is the first time anywhere that Diageo’s World Class concept has been showcased as an open-to-the public bar.

The Corinthian Club’s Boutique space has been specially dressed to showcase exclusive brands such as Tanqueray Ten, Cîroc champagne cocktails and Ron Zacapa. The Boutique Bar’s glass catwalk and tables have been stocked with ingredients, botanicals and materials from the brands and a bespoke cocktail menu has been created.

Corinthian’s head mixologist, Lisa Tracey will host the bar and cocktail master classes throughout the month. As well as her work at Corinthian, Lisa heads up the G1 Drinks Innovation Team for almost fifty venues around Scotland.

Cocktail on offer include Nectar des Dieux made with Cîroc Snap Frost Vodka, lemon bitters and honey poured over a sugar cube, topped with champagne and garnished with a an edible flower.

If that sounds a little girly then you could splash out on a Johnnie Walker Blue Label Perfect Serve. A blend of rare whiskies, it comes neat with a glass of iced water on the side for £25.

If the bar’s cocktails provoke the festive munchies then you may want to check out The Corinthian Club’s 5pm offers. You can find their menus here.
