The award for Best Customer Service went to the Scottish Cafe and Restaurant at the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh at last week’s Scottish Restaurant Awards.

Run by Victor and Carina Contini, who also run Centotre on George Street, the business prides itself on both its extensive use of local producers and the amount of time and effort devoted to staff training.

In this video clip, staff explain how training and local produce are linked and how they deliver a real taste of Scotland to not just the huge numbers of tourists who visit but also their local clientele.
