Fred MacAulay, me and the future of food

[][1]
What will we be eating in 2013?

Time for another blatant plug. Your 5pm blogger will be cluttering up Radio Scotland’s airwaves later on this morning as I blether on the Fred MacAulay Show.

The topic is the future of food which sounds very dramatic. However, anyone who has followed my forecasts will realise that they tend to be about as accurate as my hunches for the horses although not quite as expensive.

Will we all be getting down and dirty? Who fancies a French Dip? Is it the end of the road for pop-ups? All these subjects and more will be pushed around the plate about from around 11.30am today.

For a more scientific peek into the future, try Alex Renton’s Guardian piece on what a poor family and a rich family might be eating in 2035. It is an offshoot of his examination of current food technology here.
