We are living in exciting times if you like craft beer. On Saturday, The Vintage: Craft Beer Bar & Kitchen will open to the public on Henderson Street in Edinburgh’s Leith.

New Edinburgh bar

It is a joint venture between Darren Blackburn, former GM at The Caley Sample Rooms in Edinburgh, and ace marketing guy Richard McLelland and Scott Williams, both of The Williams Bros. Brewing Co.

Last year, the Williams family dipped their toe in the water of pub ownership when they opened the much lauded Inn Deep in Glasgow.

The Vintage seems to be the next step in their beery odyssey.

Craft beer

Their core range of beers comes from Williams Bros. Brewing Co. in Alloa, and is bolstered by a diverse and dynamic beer board focusing on seasonal craft beers from around the world. Expect ten craft beer taps with the brews sold in half and 2/3 pint glasses.

Fine wine in Leith

Wine lovers aren’t left out with 22 different bins on offer.

Charcuterie plates look to be a mainstay of the food offer with many of the goodies on offer coming from the Wild Tastes food company in Fife. Scottish suppliers are very much to the fore with Great Glen Game, Peelham Farm and Welch’s Quality Fish all being mentioned.
