On Hanover Street in Edinburgh’s New Town, Grand Cru is a modern bar restaurant popular with shoppers, workers and locals. If you’ve never been, here’s a peak at their food and our top 5 must-try dishes.

1. Grilled Sirloin Steak

  Meat lovers rejoice, Grand Cru’s sirloin steak is the choice for yo Served with fries, grilled tomato and crispy onion rings and a choice of peppercorn or Béarnaise sauce, you’ll be stuffed afterwards.

2. Roast breast of chicken

Fresh and tasty, the restaurant’s roast breast of chicken is stuffed with sweet pepper, chorizo, and cheddar, topped with a roasted red pepper sauce and served on a potato purée.

3. Antipasti platter

For those looking for something to share with friends whilst enjoying a drink in Grand Cru’s bar, the antipasti sharing platter is ideal: an assortment of cured meats, smoked salmon, fresh mozzarella pearls, brie, olives, breads and rocket salad.

4. New York Baked Cheesecake

I don’t think this needs much more explanation, Grand Cru’s New York Baked Cheesecake is serves with whipped cream and mixed berries. The perfect end to a meal. 

5. Homemade Chocolate Brownie
