7 Spring dishes from Browns Glasgow that will make you hungry

Browns in Glasgow’s George Square is a gorgeous spot to dine. Located in the old General Post Office building, it has sleek brasserie style surroundings and long windows which overlook the square.  The warm weather coming in brings al fresco dining opportunities at the restaurant’s tables outside.

The kitchen at Browns Glasgow places a strong emphasis on seasonal produce and the restaurant regularly introduces new menus to match the seasons. Their new spring menu focuses on the two most British of spring ingredients – asparagus and lamb, which they creatively utilise in dishes across the menu.

Browns Glasgow invited the 5pm Blog to sample a taste of the new season. Each of the delicious dishes below are bound to make your mouth water (just wait until you get to the desserts!).

1. Cream of asparagus soup

2. Pan seared scallops

3. Portobello mushroom & asparagus tart

4. Herb crusted rack of lamb

5. Salted caramel chocolate pot

6. Salted caramel profiteroles
