Smokin' pub grub from this foxy Glasgow bar

Slap bang in Glagow city centre, a hop skip and a jump from Glasgow Central Station, is a lively pub with fantastic homely food that’s not only amazing value but tastes delicious.

The Smokin’ Fox opened earlier this year and has built up a dedicated customer base for its quirky style, buzzing atmosphere, drink selection and varied cocktail list (try their signature cocktail, the ‘Foxypolitain’ – Grey Goose, St Germaine and pomegranate juice).

You can get 2 courses plus a glass of wine on the 5pm menu for only £13 by booking on 5pm Dining.

We took a little trip to the Smokin’ Fox to see what their 5pm menu was like: here are our top picks.

The Smokin’ Fox’s signature cocktail, the ‘Foxypolitain’

Cullen skink croquettes

We’ve had potato croquettes, cheese croquettes, meat croquettes but never cullen skink croquettes.

Smokin’ Fox gives them a fishy Scottish twist in this starter that comes with hollandaise sauce and mixed leaves.

Glayva glazed pork belly

A must have main is the Glayva glazed pork belly. Served with a sweet potato and crispy bacon mash it’s a sizable portion that’s perfect for a winter feast.

Traditional fish pie

Another hearty favourite is the traditional fish pie main course. The fish pie uses whatever fish is in season and is served with a healthy layer of crispy Mull cheddar mash and buttered greens on the side.

You can book the Smokin’ Fox on 5pm Dining now.
