This Is What We Ate In The Juniper Scottish Gin Bar

Located on the second floor of Glasgow's uber stylish shopping mall Princes Square, The Juniper Scottish Gin Bar serves Scottish gin and bistro style dishes.

During the day the spot is Cranachan Cafe, dishing out afternoon teas and cakes and at night from Thursday to Saturday it becomes Juniper, switching to a more grown up vibe.

The restaurant maintains its Scottish focus throughout, with antler chandeliers and decor from famed Glasgow designers Timorous Beasties.

We visited for dinner and sat in the tables outside the restaurant to enjoy the people watching opportunities of those browsing the designer shops.

Here's what we dined on (oh, and if you're looking for a drink to accompany your meal, The Juniper has over 30 Scottish gins on the menu).

Haggis bonbons served on creamed turnip and mustard mash with a smoked Arran cheddar and whisky cream sauce.

Baked camembert with a lemon and thyme crust served with a pear and watercress salad.

Sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry served with basmati rice and sweet potato crisps.

Blackened coley served with sweet potato fries and pineapple salsa.

Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream.

£15.95 for 2 courses on market menu + glass wine and £18.95 for 2 courses on market menu + Gin with Fever Tree tonic at The Juniper Scottish Gin Bar on 5pm Dining.
