We will start off in sunny Bothwell where San Vincenzo is taking shape on Main Street.
This new Italian is currently advertising for waiting staff. Recently, they were on the lookout for a breakfast chef which implies it will be an all day operation.
There were also ads for mixologists should you be handy with a Boston shaker.
Exact menu details are thin on the ground but they are installing a Ceky pizza oven.

New Glasgow bar: The Bell Jar
Gliding over to the Southside, Govanhill, near Queens Park to be exact, we are looking forward to the launch of The Bell Jar.
Details are somewhat sketchy but we can tell you that this new bar will be a sister operation to the splendidly quirky Sparkle Horse in Dowanhill.
The new venture is currently advertising for a kitchen team.
New Glasgow pizza: F Pizza
On the other side of the city, in Milngavie, there is much excitement about a new pizza place.
Taking shape on Stewart Street, F Pizza is a new venture from the team behind the Finsbay and the Finsbay Flatiron restaurants in, respectively, Milngavie and the West End.
F Pizza will be all about the sourdough pizza.
You could start with a simple tomato, garlic and oregano pizza for a fiver or throw caution to the wind and tuck into a £9 pizza topped with ricotta, Stornoway black pudding, spring onion and smoked Cheddar.
Gin school and Jax Bar at Princes Square
Scooting back to the city centre, there are developments at Princes Square.
We'll keep this short because word came out last week when this blogger was away.
For those that missed the news, the Fife spirit producers Eden Mill are to open their second Blendworks gin school in the upmarket shopping centre.
As well as being able to blend your own gin, visitors will be able to nip into the company's Jax bar for a tipple.
We are told that:
'Jax brings a top-quality and exciting new bar to Glasgow. Featuring unique cocktails designed by Eden Mill’s distillers, this sophisticated bar has a youthful flair. Jax by Eden Mill accommodates fizz at lunch, listening to a cool DJ and sipping cocktails with dinner, and staying late for a dance. With a view through to Blendworks, Jax is on the ‘must-see’ list.'
