Gather your goblin gang, summon your demons and invoke your inner party spirit as various venues host Halloween parties over the next few days.

In Glasgow, Boteco Do Brasil is taking no prisoners with a three day party weekend which kicks off on Thursday 31st October with a Halloween party followed by their Nightmare in the Favela party on the Friday.

Anyone still standing can try to rekindle their spark at the Day of the Dead party on Saturday night.

As you might expect, costumes are encouraged and the joint will be jumping until 4am on the Friday and Saturday nights. DJ Niki Baron will be playing salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, merengue, latin pop, soca & dancehall.

Of course, if you need to fortify body and soul before a night of demonic dancing then you can always book into Boteco Do Brasil via 5pm.

On Edinburgh's Lothian Street, the east coast branch of Boteco Do Brasil also has three nights of partying starting with a salsa meets bachata Halloween special on Thursday.

We like their picanha na chapa - seasoned strips of rump cap steak served on a sizzle platter, with a side of cassava and vinaigrette.

Pausing briefly in Edinburgh, Brewhemia have teamed up with eeek Escape Rooms to run a 1920s themed Halloween Escape Dinner. Tix.

Haunting tunes

If spooky tunes get your blood going then you may care to point your broom back across the M8 and swoop down to Arta in the Merchant City.

The Bang Bang Club are hosting a Spookeasy Spectacular on Friday 1st November.

A mix of burlesque, dancing, dinner plus a glass of fizz on arrival, guests can expect only the most haunting songs such as ‘I Put A Spell On You’, ‘Black Woman Magic’ and ‘Thriller’.
